What a fantastic February day for a wedding!
Shenay and Adam had a beautiful wedding with the Hawthorns this past weekend. The weather couldn't have cooperated more! The sun was shining in through our floor to ceiling windows that line our entire ballroom-it was so nice we even had the doors open on the private balcony off the side of their reception space! I loved the centerpieces that Shenay put together; it felt like a beach wedding during winter! I loved the mixture of the sand with pearls, and using a plate as the base was so creative.
I also think its so fun when brides switch up their centerpieces and do something a little different on the tables. The gel mixed in with the silk flowers made them look even more realistic! But my absolute favorite part was the kids tables...
What a fun idea! Shenay and Adam had a lot of kids attending their wedding, and wanted to make sure it was fun for them too. They put together custom coloring books with activities to keep the kids busy all evening long. I though the "autograph" page was super fun-the kids had to go around to get the "autographs" of the other kids, which encouraged them all to meet each other!
There were so many other great elements of this wedding: from a classic Norwegian cake honoring the bride and groom's family heritage, to birthday cards to sign for Adam's birthday (which was also the same day!), this wedding was definitely unique and had the family written all over it! Congrats again to Shenay and Adam-we loved planning with you and sharing your special day!
